Administrators should review the steps outlined below in preparation for the count to begin:

• As a reminder, before the count starts please switch the Count Activity out of “Pre-Count” mode and into “Active” mode by following the guidance in this FAQ. If this is switched early, it is still relatively easy to archive any surveys that were submitted by users who were just testing the app out. Any surveys that were submitted while the count was in “pre-count” mode will automatically be hidden from the actual count.
• To help ensure users are submitting data for this year’s count activity it is helpful to lock any count activities from prior years. Instructions for how to do this can be found here.
• If you haven’t done so already, please follow these instructions to confirm the date and time of your PIT count.
• Regions that opted to include the Volunteer Registration portal can stop people from registering to volunteer simply by clicking on the Volunteer Registration tab from within the Command Center and choosing “No” from the dropdown next to “Enable Volunteer Registration Form?”
