Why am I getting a "Location Unknown" message and how do I fix this?

Below are the steps to take if you are receiving a "Location Unknown" message when using the Counting Us App

  • Click ok and close out of the Counting Us app immediately. To learn how to close out an application on iPhone, click here

  • After doing so, log back into the app and select your count. 

  • Click on the “Map” icon on the bottom navigation bar. This will cause another popup to appear, asking for permission to use your phone’s location.  

  • Once you grant access, the map will be updated and you will be able to use your phone’s location as you answer surveys.
